As America celebrates 250 years, I find myself reflecting on more than our nation’s history. I’m thinking about the blessings we’ve been given, the responsibilities we’ve inherited, and the legacy we’re leaving for those who come after us.
Independence Day is a wonderful time for family gatherings, backyard barbecues, and fireworks that light up the night sky. But it’s also an opportunity to pause with grateful hearts.
As Christians, we recognize that every good gift comes from God. The freedoms we enjoy are blessings that should never be taken for granted. They remind us to live with gratitude, to serve others with humility, and to be faithful stewards of the opportunities we’ve been given.
I believe stewardship extends beyond our faith—it touches every area of our lives, including our finances. Every dollar we earn, every act of generosity, every wise decision, and every plan we make is an opportunity to honor God and bless the people around us.
Financial freedom isn’t just about having more money. It’s about creating margin to give generously, caring well for our families, preparing for the future, and living with peace instead of fear.
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, my prayer is that we would continue to be people of faith, integrity, compassion, and wisdom. May we love our neighbors well, seek peace in our communities, and remember that lasting hope is found not in wealth or circumstances, but in the God who faithfully guides us each day.
Whatever this next season holds, may we move forward with grateful hearts, generous hands, and unwavering hope.
Happy 250th Birthday, America.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12
May God continue to bless America, and may He bless each of us with the wisdom to use our freedom well.
